Lana Nguyen is an emerging creative producer, community arts worker and artist based around Naarm (Melbourne). She is passionate about practice that is rooted in collaboration, deep listening and place. Particularly, she is interested in the ways that space positions us – and the ways that art may be used to rediscover, reimagine and reroute.
Recent projects she’s worked on include assistant production for MoreArt Public Art Show, a community-centred site-specific festival with Moreland City Council, dramaturgy for La Nonna, a theatre piece exploring the intersection of queer and immigrant identity as part of the 2018 Midsumma Festival and creative direction for Planning Atlantis, an independent site-specific performance exploring the dream of the Docklands.
She is committed to diversity, continual learning, and creating experiences with community that deepen collective understanding and empowerment.
